State 1 government to reward 18 creators
BIRATNAGAR: OCT. 31 – The government of State 1 is going to award 18 creators. The Ministry of Social Development has stated that this year as every year, the award will be given to the authors who are active in the field of language, literature and art.
Last year’s award ceremony was cancelled due to the coronavirus epidemic. The Ministry of Social Development has selected 18 candidates for the award by issuing a notice at the end of the last fiscal year.
The committee headed by Khem Nepali, the coordinator of the award selection committee, has announced the names to be distributed on the basis of the recommended names. Among the names made public by the Ministry of Social Development, it is mentioned that the Balkrishna Pokhrel Language Literary Art Honor 2078 will be given to Balram Pokhrel, a writer from Biratnagar. Pokhrel will be honoured with an amount of Rs 1 lakh.
Similarly, Rs 50,000 from the state language, literature, art and talent award Laxman Nawatiya (Morang), Damaru Ballabh Bhandari (Sunsari), Ram Diyali (Ilam), Saraswati Dumi Rai (Panchthar), Nabin Rai (Khotang), Madhav Kalpit (Jhapa) and Shankar Kharel (Morang), Prem Subba (Sunsari), Tika Chamling (Khotang), Bhanubhakta Kubindeli (Jhapa), Satyakala Rai (Khotang) and Manjushree Giri (Morang) are to be honoured.
Similarly, Sanjiv Dhimal (Morang), Ram Bhajan Kamat (Morang), Khagindra Niraula ‘Khusi’ (Jhapa), Kabita Rai (Bhojpur) and Suresh Portel (Ilam) will be awarded the 25,000 rupees. The award was distributed last year.
