KATHMANDU: OCT. 31 – Demanding the resignation of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JB Rana, legal practitioners led by the Nepal Bar Association have protested in the Supreme Court wearing black bandages.

Bar, who has been demanding the resignation of Chief Justice JB Rana, had made public the programs of the agitation including black bandages to increase the pressure.

Accordingly, today inside the Supreme Court premises, lawyers have protested against the Chief Justice by wearing black bandages. Lawyers have blocked the debate in the Supreme Court demanding the resignation of the Chief Justice, while judges have boycotted the session.

The lawyers said that their protest was not against the court but against the wrongdoing of the chief justice. Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JB Rana, who has been embroiled in controversy from time to time, is now embroiled in controversy over his participation in the government.

On the premises of the Nepal Bar Association, a group of legal practitioners, wearing white bandages, protested against the bar leadership and the judges who boycotted the session.

Advocate Swagat Nepal, Bhuminanda Sapkota and other lawyers have put up a white band against the black band. They are in the premises of the bar building.

They said that the rights of the citizens have been violated due to the judge who did not hear the case and the lawyer who did not attend the hearing.
