England are leading the way in the title race

KATHMANDU: OCT. 31 – England won their 26th and third match of the T20 World Cup. In the ongoing World Cup, England and Pakistan are the only teams that are presenting their strong claim in the World Cup with a 100 per cent result.

The English bowler’s performance was memorable when they defeated another contender Australia by 8 wickets in Saturday’s match. Australia were bowled out for 125 against England, with skipper Aaron Finch top-scoring with 44. Chris Jordan took 3 wickets for England.

Following a weak score of 126 runs, England completed it easily. England won by two wickets in just 11.4 overs. Star opener Jos Buttler had a remarkable performance in the victory. He played an explosive inning of 71 off 32 balls.

A banging start

England’s start was tumultuous as they chased the target. Jason Roy and Jos Buttler shared 66 off 39 balls for the first wicket. Adam Zampa dismissed Roy for 22 runs. However, the initial partnership in the face of a weak score was easy for England. As another wicket, Ashton Agar dismissed Dawid Malan for eight.

Buttler also completed a record of 300 sixes in the T20 against Australia. He was the 39th player to hit 300 sixes. Jonny Bairstow played an unbeaten inning of 16 off 11 balls. Chris Jordan, who took 3 wickets, became the man of the match. England has reached the semi-finals with three consecutive wins.
