Free Health Camp of KMC inaugurated by the Minister of Energy
LALITPUR: OCT. 30 – Kathmandu Medical College at Sinamangal in Kathmandu, which has been conducting free health camps in villages of different districts, has conducted health camps at Godawari in Lalitpur. A free health camp has been conducted at Little Star English School in collaboration with Godawari Municipality-12 Ward Office.
Minister for Energy and Water Resources Pampha Bhusal inaugurated the camp amidst a program. Inaugurating the camp, Minister Bhusal thanked the organizers of the camp saying that the free health camp would benefit the poor patients.
MP Rajkaji Maharjan, Mayor of Godawari Municipality Gajendra Maharjan, Ward Chairman of Godawari Municipality 12 Jagat Bahadur Maharjan, Chief Advisor of KMC Dr KP Sharma, General Manager of KMC Narayan Dahal and others said that poor and needy patients could benefit from the free health camp.
Dahal, general manager of KMC, informed that 1,587 patients were given free health check-ups at the camp. Blood tests of 314 people, video X-rays of 221 people and heart tests (ECG) of 198 people have been done in the camp. Patients from villages came to the camp for treatment. Specialist doctors of KMC have examined the health of the patients.
KMC had earlier conducted free health camps in Duwakot of Bhaktapur and Sunapati of Ramechhap. A total of 1,662 patients were tested free of cost in the Duwakot camp and 1,165 in the Ramechhap camp.
Since Dr Sunil Sharma took over as the Chairman of KMC, KMC has been conducting free health camps in different districts. KMC president Dr Sharma says that free health camps will be continued targeting the needy patients.
