West Indies and Bangladesh in a do-or-die situation
KATHMANDU: OCT. 29 – West Indies and Bangladesh are playing in the T20 World Cup on Friday. The semi-final journey has been weakened as both the teams lost their opening matches. Therefore, there is pressure for both teams to win today’s game to maintain the mathematical potential of the semi-final.
Before the game, West Indies lost Obed McCoy. He has been replaced by former captain Jason Holder due to injury.
Defending champions West Indies are going through a very bad rhythm in this tournament. He has not even been able to prepare a competitive score in the ongoing competition. The West Indies, who were all out for 55 in the first game, failed to make a big score in the second game and lost by eight wickets to South Africa. The main reason for this game is the slow innings of Lendl Simmons.
Bangladesh is also struggling with batting problems. Bangladesh, who managed to score only 124 runs in the match against England, had earlier scored over 170 against Sri Lanka. However, the decision to bat first after winning the toss in the second game proved fatal for Bangladesh.
Bangladesh have the same expectations of West Indies’ Evin Lewis. Lewis scored a high score of 56 off 35 balls against South Africa, so the Caribbean team will be his expectation. Similarly, Kieron Pollard and Andre Russell can be confident of performing well.
