Newly appointed Chief Minister of Bagmati State Pandey takes oath

KATHMANDU: OCT. 28 – Newly appointed Chief Minister of Bagmati State Rajendra Pandey has taken the oath. Pandey took the oath of office and secrecy on Thursday. He was administered the oath of office by state chief Yadav Chandra Sharma.

Astalaxmi Shakya, who is also the UML vice-chairperson, resigned from the post on Wednesday after falling in the minority vote. After this, Pandey, a leader of the Unified Socialists, became the Chief Minister.

Pandey has expanded the cabinet to include 1/1 leaders of the Nepali Congress, the CPN-Maoist Center and CPN-Unified Socialists.
