PM has instructed all Nepalis to get vaccinated against COVID-19 within the next six months
KATHMANDU: OCT. 28 – Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has instructed all Nepalis to focus on achieving the goal of vaccinating against COVID-19 within the next six months.
At a meeting of the COVID-19 Crisis Management Coordination Center on Thursday, Prime Minister Deuba instructed to make arrangements for vaccination of all citizens of the vaccinating age group, said a government official who attended the meeting. He directed the government to make arrangements to provide free vaccination to all the citizens even if they do not buy it.
As this is the first meeting of the Center, the proposal on manpower management and organizational structure of the Center has been approved and the status of COVID-19 infection in Nepal and other countries, risk, vaccine import management and work towards achieving government targets have been discussed, the official said.
So far, 34 per cent of the population in Nepal has received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 22 per cent have received both doses.
