Manchester City out of League Cup, who reached the quarterfinals?

KATHMANDU: OCT. 28 – Manchester City are out of the League Cup. City are out of the League Cup after losing to West Ham in a penalty shootout last night.

After both teams played a goalless draw in the allotted 90 minutes, the game was decided from the penalty spot. West Ham won the game 5-3 after City’s Phil Foden missed a penalty in the ensuing penalty shootout. West Ham have also reached the quarterfinals of the League Cup.

In other games last night, Brentford beat Stoke City 2-1, Leicester City beat Brighton in a penalty shootout, Tottenham beat Burnley 1-0 and Liverpool beat Preston 2-0 to reach the quarterfinals.

Along with West Ham, Arsenal, Brentford, Chelsea, Leicester City, Liverpool, Sunderland and Tottenham have reached the quarter-finals of the League Cup.
