Today Nepal is playing against Tajikistan
KATHMANDU: OCT. 28 – Nepal is competing against Tajikistan in the second match of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualifiers on Thursday.
Nepal will play Tajikistan at the Republican Central Stadium at 8:15 pm Nepali time. Nepal, which lost 4-0 to strong Iran in the first match, is looking for its first victory and points against the home team.
After the match against Iran, the head coach of the Nepali team Bal Gopal Maharjan and captain Arpan Karki said that they will play for a clear victory in the remaining two matches. Tajikistan is looking for its second consecutive victory. In the first match, Tajikistan defeated Lebanon.
Iran tops the group with three points, followed by Tajikistan with three. Scoreless Lebanon is third and Nepal is at the bottom. In the final match, Nepal will play against Lebanon on Sunday. The top team in the group will play in the AFC U-23 Asian Cup.
