‘Judges are humiliating the Supreme Court’

KATHMANDU: OCT. 26 – CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has remarked that the judges are humiliating the Supreme Court. “The Supreme Court has been turned into a spectacle,” Oli said while inaugurating the municipal convention on Tuesday.

Oli said that what should not be happening in the Supreme Court is happening now. “There is a misguided practice of judges boycotting sittings, advocates forming sittings,” Oli said. “It lowers public confidence in the court.”

Similarly, Oli expressed dissatisfaction with Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota and said, “He became a judge himself.” Opposition parties have stated they will not run in the by-elections. He has no worries. Does that happen? ‘
