Husband kills wife and daughter in Ilam
BIRATNAGAR: OCT. 26 – A man has killed his wife and daughter in Ilam. A man of Deumai Municipality-5 killed his wife and daughter on Tuesday morning.
According to the District Police Office, Ilam, Kamal alias Purnachandra Tamang, 33, of Deumai Municipality-5, Barung has killed his wife Sita Tamang, 34, and daughter Dikshya Tamang, 16. According to the locals, he even killed a dog kept in his own house.
According to the police, his wife and daughter were bitten on the neck and various parts of his body while he was pretending to be a Dhami (wizard).
According to Police Chief (SP) Mahendra Kumar Shrestha, the investigation has been started by arresting Kamal.
The incident took place at around 3 am on Tuesday, but the neighbors had gathered around 6 am to find out about the incident.
Neighbors had informed the police after learning that Tamang had killed his wife and daughter. The arrested Tamang has been kept at the Area Police Office, Mangalbare. SP Shrestha said that the body was sent to Dharan for postmortem.
