Meeting of Chief Justice and Supreme Court officials
KATHMANDU: OCT. 24 – A team of Supreme Court Bar Association officials has met Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JB Rana. According to a Bar official, the team went to the Chief Justice after 12:30 pm.
According to the officials, there was an emergency meeting of the officials before meeting Chief Justice JB Rana. After the meeting, the team went to meet the Chief Justice.
The meeting discussed the controversy over Chief Justice JB Rana and whether to send an amicus curiae to the Constitutional Court. In the case related to the Constitutional Council, the Supreme Court had ordered to order amicus curiae from Nepal Bar and Supreme Bar.
Chief Justice JB Rana has been criticized for not participating in the cabinet, not implementing the report of the committee formed to create a court without distortions and not holding a hearing.
