Farmers seems to be busy in importing paddy [Photos]

KATHMANDU: OCT. 24 – At present, the farmers of the tari fields in the riparian areas are ready to import paddy. They seem to be busy in importing paddy, covering the occasional rains and the end of the Dashain.

Nowadays, the main problem is that the fair/perm is not running as before and the farmers are not available at the time. During the paddy harvesting season, farmers working from the Terai region enter the riparian zone in the middle of Aug./Sept.

Moreover, the farmers of this region are dependent on them. Nowadays, the practice of awarding contracts based on farming is increasing.
