PM Deuba’s announcement from State 1: relief package will be distributed
BIRATNAGAR: OCT. 24 – Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that relief will be distributed to the flood victims even from foreign aid. Addressing a program in Itahari, he announced to bring a package for the flood victims even if they ask for it from abroad.
Prime Minister Deuba, who came to State 1 to get information about the damage caused by the unseasonal rains in the eastern region, said that the damage was due to the unseasonal rains.
Prime Minister Deuba claimed that the government had provided some amount of money to the family of the deceased immediately and would bring a package program as soon as he returned to Kathmandu. “Floods and landslides do not come with a bang,” he said. “The government has come up with a relief package for the sudden floods.”
Prime Minister Deuba had taken information from the Chief District Officer of Saptari and the Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law of State 1 about the damage caused by the floods along with the unseasonal rains.
After the Itahari program, Prime Minister Deuba has left for the flood-hit districts of Ilam and Panchthar today.
