PM’s flood / landslide affected Far West departure, such is the schedule of visit
KATHMANDU: OCT. 21 – Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has left for his home state of Far West to inspect the damage caused by floods and landslides. Accompanied by ministers and former ministers, Prime Minister Deuba left for various districts in the far west at 8 am to inspect the damage.
The team includes Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Prem Ale, Nepali Congress leaders NP Saud, Ramesh Lekhak and Bir Bahadur Balayer. According to Prime Minister Deuba’s Secretariat, the team will leave for Doti, the home district of Tourism Minister Ale, via Surkhet from Kathmandu. Doti is also the home district of former minister Blair.
After inspecting the damage caused by the floods and landslides in Doti, the team will go to Dhungad in Baitadi via Bajhang. From there, the team will travel to Amargadhi Rural Municipality and Jogbudha Rural Municipality of Dadeldhura, the home district of Prime Minister Deuba, and to Kanchanpur, the home district of the former minister Saud and the author, according to the secretariat.
The Prime Minister’s team is scheduled to stay in Dhangadhi, the temporary capital of the Far West, in the evening after inspecting the damage caused by floods and landslides in Kanchanpur. On Friday, Prime Minister Deuba said that he would inspect the southern part of Kailari Rural Municipality, Bhajani Municipality and Tikapur Municipality if the weather is favorable. Prime Minister Deuba will return to the federal capital Kathmandu on Friday.
