Incessant rains in Uttarakhand: 16 killed, including 3 Nepalis

KATHMANDU: OCT. 19 – At least 16 people have been killed in rains in Uttarakhand, India. India Today quoted Indian officials as saying that they had died due to torrential rains in the past two days.

According to the news, 11 people died on Tuesday alone. Floods and landslides in various parts of Uttarakhand have left some people missing and the death toll is expected to rise.

Among the dead are three Nepalis. Similarly, two others have been injured. Floods and landslides are causing a lot of damage in different parts of India.
