KATHMANDU: OCT. 19 – Sri Lanka beat Namibia by seven wickets in the first round of the ICC Cricket World Cup on Monday.
Sri Lanka completed the target of 67 runs set by Namibia at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium by losing 3 wickets in 13 overs. Earlier, losing the toss and batting first, Namibia lost all their wickets in 19 overs and scored 96 runs.
Sri Lanka, who are in Group A of the tournament with the win, are at the top of the table with two points. Namibia, on the other hand, started the tournament with a defeat.
