T20 World Cup: Oman and Scotland start victorious

KATHMANDU: OCT. 18 – Oman and Scotland have made a winning start in the first round of the ICC T20 World Cup. Oman defeated Papua New Guinea by 10 wickets in Sunday’s match.

Oman chased down Papua New Guinea’s 130-run target in 13.4 overs without losing a wicket. Similarly, Scotland defeated Bangladesh by 6 runs in the second match.

Chasing Scotland’s target of 141, Bangladesh lost seven wickets in 20 overs and scored only 134 runs before losing the game by six runs. Oman and Scotland, who are in Group B of the first round, have scored 2-2.

Today, Group A will be played between Ireland and the Netherlands and Sri Lanka and Namibia.
