Historic success for Nepal in SAFF Championship, finalist for the first time

KATHMANDU: OCT. 13 – Nepal has reached the final of the SAFF Championship for the first time. Nepal reached the final of the tournament after drawing 1-1 with Bangladesh in the Maldives.
After Bangladesh’s Suman Reza scored in the ninth minute of the match, Nepal trailed Bangladesh 1-0. Anjan Bista scored for Nepal in the 87th minute.
In the 78th minute of the match, Bangladesh was limited to 10 players after Bangladesh goalkeeper Zico received a red card for saving the ball he had brought out of the box.
Anjan was fouled by a Bangladeshi player in the box and received a penalty and scored the goal to take Nepal to the final.
