Bomb blast in Achham, one injured

ACHHAM: OCT. 10 – One person has been injured in a bomb blast in Achham. Brikh Rokaya, 33, of Ramaroshan Rural Municipality-5 in the district was injured when a grenade bomb exploded in his field.

According to police, the bomb had exploded at Khetal on Saturday. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Tulasi Aryal of the District Police Office Achham said that the news of the bomb blast was received only at midnight.

He further added that a bomb disposal team may have been deployed in the area. According to him, other bombs may have been planted in the area as the Maoists were hiding during the armed conflict.

Rokaya, who was injured in the blast, is undergoing treatment at Bayalpata Hospital, police said.
