Bidding Farewell to Miss Nisha Pathak for Miss Intercontinental 2021, Egypt
KATHMANDU: OCT. 10 – Rajesh Rauniyar, National Director of the Miss Intercontinental Nepal Organization, today announced final farewell and wishes to Nisha Pathak Miss Intercontinental Nepal who will be representing Nepal at Miss Intercontinental happening October 29 in the Sunrise Diamond Beach Resort Hotel, Sharm-el-Sheikh, Egypt.
“We are happy to wish Nisha to the Miss Intercontinental stage where she is sure to turn up the heat in Sharm el Sheik,” said Rauniyar. “This year marks the 49th Anniversary of the Miss Intercontinental Pageant and what better place to showcase the talent of women from around the world than in Egypt, and Sharm el-Sheik, also called “City of Peace”.
The two-hour meet, comprised of Nepal’s Delegate Ms. Nisha Pathak representing National Costume, Finale gown and Nepal’s Introduction Video whose inspiration was the national costume is inspired from the Tharu’s costume and have been modernized for the international stage while keeping in mind their cultural significance.
The blouse is made from the mirror work and the coins which are inspired by Rana Tharu culture. While the white base is inspired by the Tharu culture in the East starting from Chitwan. The prints on the skirts are mostly worn by the Tharu’s in the West, Mid-West and Far West. And the diamond patterns are mostly used by Tharu’s in Kailali.
In this national costume, designers have tried to bring together the Tharu culture from East to the Far West. And the use of color in the shawl has been inspired Nepal’s National Flag.
