Government withdrew the Railway and Federal Civil Service Bill

KATHMANDU: OCT. 8 – The government has withdrawn two bills from the House of Representatives. The government has withdrawn the Railway Bill and the Federal Civil Service Bill from the House of Representatives meeting held on Friday.

Law Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki had proposed to withdraw the bill in the House of Representatives. The Council of Ministers has decided to withdraw the bill at its meeting held on Oct. 5, 2021.

The Railway Bill was passed by the National Assembly. A proposal to withdraw the bill passed by the National Assembly and submitted to the House of Representatives has been tabled in the House of Representatives.

Now that the proposal to withdraw the bill has been passed in the House of Representatives, the information will go to the National Assembly. Both bills were withdrawn by a majority in the House of Representatives.

Prem Suwal, an NCP-N MP who voted against the bill, said that the decision to withdraw the bill could not be democratic. He mentioned that the government was going to bring an ordinance by withdrawing the bill.
