Rawal won the post of NC Bajura president

MARTADI: OCTY. 8 – Nepali Congress presidential candidate Ram Singh Rawal has won from the seventh district convention of Bajura. Rawal won the election with 605 votes. The election committee declared that Rawal had won by 39 votes over his rival Kaviraj Pandit.

According to Returning Officer Santosh Bhandari, Padam Baduwal won with 748 votes and Narayan Padhya won with 756 votes. According to him, Tilak Raj Puri won the post of secretary with 565 votes, Bharat Bahadur Rokaya with 514 votes, Krishna Raj Upadhyay with 466 votes and Surendra Badur Singh with 380 votes.

The second round of voting was held on Thursday when three candidates failed to get 51 percent of the 1,205 votes cast in the first round.

In the first phase, Pandit, Chakra Bahadur Shah and Rawal had nominated for the post. Voting was resumed on Thursday after they failed to get 51 percent of the votes cast. Presidential candidate Shah’s group had backed Rawal.
