Applications for new cricket coaches will be opened within a week

KATHMANDU: OCT. 7 – The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has decided to open the application for the vacant post of head coach of the Nepali national cricket team within a week. A meeting of the Central Working Committee of the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) on Thursday decided to open the application for the new coach within a week with a time limit of 15 days.

According to CAN, the meeting accepted the resignations of Vice-Chairman Raju Babu Shrestha and Secretary Ashok Nath Pyakurel and decided to give the responsibility of acting secretary-general to central member Prashant Bikram Malla.

The meeting also decided to start the closed training of the Nepali national women’s team from October 20 for the ICC Women’s Twenty20 World Cup Asian selection to be held in the UAE in November.

The meeting also decided to hold the annual general meeting of the association on December 15, recognize Kalikot, Salyan, Dailekh and Rukum West, and cancel the association’s agreement to organize Nepal T20 League in collaboration with Indian company Seven Three Sports.
