World Bank has projected that Nepal’s economic growth will be 3.9 percent
KATHMANDU: OCT. 7 – The World Bank has projected that Nepal’s economic growth rate will be 3.9 percent in the current fiscal year.
The World Bank says the economy is improving as economic activity picks up due to the coronavirus vaccine.
The World Bank is of the view that the growth of the economy will improve due to the increase in vaccination campaigns, improvement in Nepal’s tourism sector and increase in the number of people going for foreign employment.
Similarly, the World Bank estimates that Nepal’s economic growth rate was 1.8 percent in the last fiscal year.
In the current fiscal year, the economy has started reviving in South Asian countries along with Nepal, the bank said. According to the World Bank, the economies of some South Asian countries have reached the stage before the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic.
The bank has projected economic growth of more than 7 percent in the South Asian region.
After coronavirus, new efforts are being made to improve the economic sector, the bank said.
