Chitwan in the final with a huge victory

KATHMANDU: OCT. 6 – Chitwan Tigers have entered the final of the 4th Everest Premier League (EPL). Chitwan reached the final by defeating Pokhara Rhinos by 9 wickets in the first qualifier held in Kirtipur on Wednesday. Chitwan completed the target of 67 runs by losing 1 wicket in 7 overs and 5 balls.

Mohammad Shahzad top-scored for Chitwan with 48 runs. He struck seven fours and two sixes in just 26 balls. After losing the toss and opting to bat first, Pokhara were bowled out for 66 in 15 overs.

Apart from Richard Levi (19), Sunil Dhamala (18) and Sushan Bhari (12) for Pokhara, no other batsman was able to add double figures. Sagar Dhakal and Shahab Alam of Chitwan took 4 and 4 wickets respectively.
