Basnet, who claims to be the chairman of Akhil (Revolutionary), will become the central member of six Maoists

KATHMANDU: OCT. 3 – Six student leaders claiming to be the chairperson of ANNFSU (Revolutionary) are set to become central members of the CPN (Maoist Center). According to a leader of the UCPN (Maoist), it has been decided to make Pancha Singh Akhil (Revolutionary) the central chairman of the party.

Among the student leaders who will become central members are former senior vice president Surendra Basnet, Tilak Raj Bhandari, Uttam Adhikari, Deepak Devkota and Bijay Gautam. Singh became the chairperson of Akhil (Revolutionary) after Maoist centre chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ held discussions with student leaders on Sunday morning.

The UCPN (M) has stated in the constitution that it will add 20 per cent of youths under the age of 40 to the Central Committee. The leader said, “They have been managed according to this plan and arrangement.”
