Lekhi who left LOSAPA is entering UML today
KATHMANDU: OCT. 3 – Leader Raj Kumar Lekhi, who has left the Democratic Socialist Party (LOSAPA) led by Mahanta Thakur, is entering the CPN (UML) on Sunday. Lekhi, who is also the former president of the Federation of Indigenous Tribes and former general secretary of the Tharu Kalyankari Sabha, is entering the party with the hand of President KP Sharma Oli.
Lekhi, a former member of the Central Executive Committee of the People’s Socialist Party (JSP), had been saying that he would choose a party with similar views and sentiments. “In the meantime, I had talks with friends of the mainstream political parties,” Lekhi told Makalu Khabar. “After that, I decided to join the UML.”
Lekhi is going to the Godawari Conference Center in Lalitpur where the UML Legislative General Convention is being conducted. There, he is scheduled to enter the party after receiving a vaccine from Oli.
