Nepal’s victory over Maldives after 22 years [Photos]

KATHMANDU: OCT. 2 – Nepal has made a victorious start in the SAFF Championship Football. In the first match played in Male, Maldives on Friday night, Nepal defeated Maldives 1-0 to start the tournament with 3 important points.

After 22 years, Manish Dangi scored a goal for Nepal to defeat the Maldives. His goal in the 86th minute of the game was decisive. He entered the field in the 80th minute in place of Nawayug Shrestha. Personally, this is Manish’s second international goal for Nepal.

Nepal has defeated Maldives for the first time in the SAFF championship. Now, Nepal will compete with Sri Lanka in its second match on Monday. Nepal will play with India on Oct. 11 and Bangladesh on Oct. 14.
