Yamaha’s MT-15 BS6 bike is now in Nepal
KATHMANDU: SEPT. 29 – The BS6 version of the much-awaited motorcycle Yamaha MT-15 has been unveiled in the Nepali market. MAW Nepal, the official seller of Yamaha motorcycles and scooters for Nepal, has unveiled the MT-15 BS6 at the Grand Exchange Event organized at Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu.
The company had opened the booking of the motorcycle only two days ago. The company has stated that 300 motorcycles were sold on the basis of advance booking even before the motorcycle was made public.
The company has announced that those who want to buy this bike will get it only after Dashain.
The MT series, launched by Yamaha in 2005, is part of Yamaha’s ‘Naked Bike Series’ family. MT’s series is known as the ‘Dark Side of Japan’. This motorcycle was launched in 2005 with MT-01. So far, Yamaha has been successfully manufacturing and distributing it worldwide.
The bikes in the MT-15 series are CT / Urban sports bikes. The bikes in this series are designed with young people in mind who are excited about motorcycles.
Speaking on the occasion, Yamaha CEO Raju Chhetri said, “This bike was in high demand among Nepali youth. I am very proud to be able to present the most awaited bike for sale through the Yamaha Grand Exchange Event, the largest exchange event in Nepal. Young people have loved this product from Yamaha and we are thrilled to present this new modified MT BS6 bike. ‘
The company has priced the BS6 version at Rs 449,900. Yamaha MT15 BS6 version will be available in the Nepali market in two new colour options.
