Maoist leader Pun flew to Bangkok for treatment

KATHMANDU: SEPT. 29 – CPN (Maoist Center) Standing Committee Member and former Finance Minister Barshaman Pun has left for Bangkok, Thailand for re-treatment. He went to Bangkok on Wednesday morning for further treatment after his chronic jaundice problem worsened.

Leader Pun is accompanied by his wife and former Speaker Onsari Gharti. Pun will be treated at Samitivej Hospital in Bangkok. He had previously been treated in Bangkok. Pun was treated in Bangkok in 2072 BS. At the time, he was in Bangkok for a long time for treatment.

Maoist leader Shakti Bahadur Basnet, Akhil Krantikari president Ranjit Tamang and others had reached Tribhuvan International Airport to bid farewell to the Pun.
