KATHMANDU: SEPT. 28 – The Everest Premier League (EPL), which started with a bang, has been hampered by rain for the fourth consecutive game. The fourth edition of the EPL was scheduled to be played today (Tuesday) between Kathmandu Kings XI and Pokhara Rhinos.
The match between Kathmandu and Pokhara was postponed on Tuesday afternoon after it rained again at the TU Cricket Ground on Monday afternoon.
The EPL has been affected due to continuous rain in Kathmandu since Sunday. Earlier, the match between Kathmandu and Pokhara was scheduled to start at 12:15 pm but the toss could not take place due to rain. It is said that the game will be postponed by making a new schedule as the game has been affected by the continuous rain.
It is certain that the financial burden on the organizers will increase if the games are postponed continuously due to the rain and the expenses of the teams will also increase due to the rain. Also, if the suspended game points are not redistributed, the game is likely to be longer than the scheduled time.
