Mother and son killed in accident

BUTWAL: SEPT. 28 – A mother and her son died in an accident on the East-West Highway at Sainamina Municipality-5 in Rupandehi this morning. The deceased have been identified as Radha Bhattarai, 35, and her son Mahesh Bhattarai, 19.

According to Area Police Office, Saljhundi, Inspector Diwakar Rijal, the truck (Na 8 Kha 4411) heading east from the west had hit Bhattarai’s mother and son. The truck was going towards the east from the west.

Police said the mother and son who were severely injured in the incident died on the way to the Lumbini State Hospital Butwal.

Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
