EPL: Two games to be played today
KATHMANDU: SEPT. 27 – The fourth edition of the Everest Premier League (EPL) T20 cricket tournament has two games today.
Kathmandu Kings XI and Biratnagar Warriors will meet in the first match to be played at the TU Cricket Ground. The game will start at 9:30 pm. Kathmandu, which will be captained by Sandeep Lamichhane, also wants to win the second game. Kathmandu had earlier beaten defending champions Lalitpur Patriots in the first match.
Biratnagar, captained by Karan KC, wants to win for the first time. In the first match, Biratnagar lost to Chitwan Tigers.
In the second match, Bhairahawa Gladiators and Chitwan Tigers will meet. The game will start at 1:30 pm. Bhairahawa, captained by Sharad Vesawkar, wants to win for the first time. Due to rain, Bhairahawa was forced to share points with Pokhara Rhinos in the first match. Chitwan wants to win for the second time in a row. Chitwan had defeated Biratnagar in the first match.
Six franchise teams have participated in the competition which will run till Oct. 9. The winner of the competition will get Rs 5 million and the runner-up will get Rs 1.5 million.
