Unarrival visa for citizens of all countries except conflict-affected countries
KATHMANDU: SEPT. 25 – The government will issue unarrival visas to citizens of 122 different countries. The Immigration Department has stated that the citizens of all other countries will be given an arrival visa facility at the airport, while the citizens of the conflict-affected countries will have to obtain entry permits through diplomatic missions.
According to the department, citizens of Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan and Syria will not receive unarrival visas. If the citizens of those countries want to visit Nepal, the emergency passport holder must take the entry from the diplomatic mission, the department said.
The department said proof of completion of 14 days of corona vaccination for unarmed visas, 72 hours of check-in for air travel and 72 hours of entry into Nepal for land arrival were required to prove that the test report was negative.
In case of mountaineering and trekking and other matters for which permission is required, a copy of the permit is required and proof of hotel booking in Nepal is required, the department said. The department has clarified that new arrangements have been made for the movement of passengers as per the decision of the Council of Ministers dated Sept. 21 regarding the travel management order of passengers arriving and departing from Nepal.
Similarly, in the case of children below the age of five years, no vaccination and testing is required. It has been clarified that in the case of children above five years and below 18 years of age, other arrangements will be the same as for Nepali or foreign nationals.
