Chennai tops after beating Bangalore
KATHMANDU: SEPT. 25 – Chennai Super Kings have defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In last night’s match, Chennai defeated RCB by 6 wickets.
Chasing RCB’s target of 157, Chennai completed the target losing 4 wickets in 18.1 overs. Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 38 runs for Chennai while Ambati Rayudu scored 32 runs and Faf du Plessis scored 31 runs. Similarly, Moeen Ali scored 23 runs while Suresh Raina scored an unbeaten 17 off 10 balls. Similarly, Mahendra Singh Dhoni scored an unbeaten 11 runs.
Earlier, losing the toss and batting first, RCB lost 6 wickets in 20 overs and scored 156 runs. Devdutt Padikkal top-scored for RCB with 70 runs while captain Virat Kohli scored 53 runs. AB de Villiers scored 12 runs and Glenn Maxwell scored 11 runs. Chennai bowler Dwayne Bravo took 3 wickets while Shardul Thakur took 2 wickets and Deepak Chahar took 1 wicket.
After this victory, Chennai Super Kings have risen to the top of the table with 14 points with 7 wins in 9 games this season. With 14 points, Delhi Capitals is in second place in terms of run rate. Similarly, RCB is in the third position with 10 points including 5 wins and 4 losses in 9 games.
