Peaceful demonstration at Maitighar demanding ratification of the Non-Proliferation Treaty [Photos]

KATHMANDU: SEPT. 21 – Human Rights and Peace Society (HURPES) today staged a peaceful demonstration at Maitighar demanding speedy ratification of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty for a world free of nuclear weapons.

Today, on the occasion of the International Day of Peace (Sept. 21), society has demonstrated wishing for world peace.

Human rights activist Krishna Pahadi, Uttam Pudasaini and other leaders of the HURPES were present in the demonstration.
