Wishing Constitution Day, Shekhar said that the constitution should be refined with the people at the center
KATHMANDU: SEPT. 19 – Nepali Congress leader Dr Shekhar Koirala has said that the constitution has guaranteed the natural rights of the people.
Expressing best wishes for the seventh constitution day, Koirala said so. ‘Federalism and democratic republic have been ensured and institutionalized in the country through the existing constitution. In addition, the constitution guarantees the natural rights of the people, protects the overall dimensions of class, region and community diversity and speciality, and puts the people at the centre of governance, ‘said Koirala.
Mentioning that the constitution is a dynamic document, Koirala added, “The experience of the people has laid the groundwork for timely refinement and development with the wider interests of the country at the centre.”
