Let’s move towards fulfilling national aspirations: Chairman Oli

KATHMANDU: SEPT. 19 – CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has urged all to move towards fulfilling the national aspiration of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’. Giving a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 7th Constitution Day today, he urged the people to protect the constitution and move forward in the direction specified by it.

It is mentioned in the message that the essence of the UML’s loyalty is to make the people Janardan as the people are the Janardan who have been made sovereign by the constitution. He said that the constitution was not only a document to organize the political system of the country but also an allegiance to democracy.

“The current constitution is a progressive political document to end feudalism by uniting the nation and ensuring the sovereignty, rule of law, social justice and basic rights of the people,” he said in the message. He noted that the separatist movement and the policy of violence to gain political power have also been successfully incorporated into the exercise of constitutional order.

He said that the UML had received the mandate to lead the government through general elections after the promulgation of the new constitution. “Based on the party’s policies and programs, in the manifesto and to fulfil the election commitment, we have formulated our vision as ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepal’ and interpreted it as a full democracy,” he said in the message. The guarantee of equality, social justice and the guarantee of security and dignity is the essence of a perfect democracy concept and program.
