Nepal loses to Philippines in women’s football

KATHMANDU: SEPT. 19 – Nepal has lost to the Philippines in the first match of the Women’s Asian Cup-2022 qualifiers. Nepal lost 2-1 to the Philippines in a match played in Uzbekistan on Saturday.

Nepal was forced to face defeat as it could not maintain its lead with the Philippines. Bimala Chaudhary scored in the 10th minute of the match to give Nepal the lead.

In the 89th minute, Tahnai Annis and Camille Wilson scored in injury time to give the Philippines a 2-1 victory.

Now, Nepal will play against Hong Kong in the second match on Tuesday.

Similarly, the match between the Philippines and Hong Kong will be played on Sept. 24.

The top team of the group will play the Asian Cup in India next year.
