Second phase of IPL is to start from today

KATHMANDU: SEPT. 19 – The second phase of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League Cricket IPL is starting in the UAE from today. The tournament had to be postponed in mid-May due to the COVID-19 outbreak in India. The remaining games are now taking place in the UAE.

In the exciting first round, the IPL was worth watching at home. The performance of Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Chris Morris and others was excellent.

Fans have expected the same brilliance and rhythm in the rest of the tournament in the UAE. In the second phase, however, there will be a shortage of star players including Jos Buttler, Pat Cummins and Jonny Bairstow. However, clubs have brought in some new players in their place. Therefore, this phase of the competition will be an opportunity for young players to emerge.
