Three killed in jeep accident in Ramechhap

KATHMANDU: SEPT. 16 – Three people have died in a jeep accident in Ramechhap district. Three persons died when a jeep heading to Okhaldhunga from Kathmandu met with an accident at Ramechhap, said District Police Office, Ramechhap.

A jeep fell from Hattitar Kunauli in Manthali Municipality Ward No. 6 on Thursday morning. He was critically injured in the accident and was rushed to Samakhusi Hospital. Inspector Shrestha said that he died on the spot.

The jeep of State 3-01-023-Ch-3513 has fallen 600-700 meters from the road. A child has been rescued from the spot. Inspector Shrestha said that there were four passengers in the jeep.

The deceased have been identified as Lakpa Sherpa, 34, of Okhaldhunga and his wife Furuwa Sherpa. Another has not been identified yet, police said.

The injured has been identified as Pemba Sherpa, 12. He has been referred to Kathmandu.
