Meeting of the Central Committee of the CPN (S) with these agendas
KATHMANDU: SEPT. 15 – The Central Committee meeting of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) is scheduled to be held in Kathmandu on Sept. 22.
Central leader Niru Devi Jairu informed that the meeting will be held to prepare the necessary strategy to run the party in the current political situation and to expand the organization in order to run the party effectively across the country.
The meeting was scheduled for Tuesday but was postponed for a few days. Expressing an ideological disagreement with the UML, some leaders, including senior leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhala Nath Khanal, have split and this is the first meeting of the party’s central committee. “All issues are discussed at the party’s central committee meeting,” she said.
A standing committee, secretariat, state in charge and some departments have recently been formed under the coordination of party chairman Nepal. Political programs are being conducted at some state, district and local levels of the party.
Youth and student organizations have been established and the press organization will be announced soon. It is said that preparations are being made for the formation of trade unions and other fraternal organizations.
