KATHMANDU: SEPT. 15 – Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku, who returned to his old club Chelsea this season at 97.5 million pounds, continues his sensational performance. Lukaku was instrumental in adding three points to Group H’s Champions League game on Tuesday.

For former champions Chelsea, Lukaku scored his first goal in the Champions League as Zenit lost 1-0. The previous winners in the history of the Champions League have lost the first game of the season only twice. But it was difficult for Chelsea to win against Zenit at Stamford Bridge (Stadium) at home.

Lukaku, who scored two goals against Aston Villa in the previous game in the Premier League, continued the same form last night. An attractive header in the 79th minute gave Chelsea three points. Cesar Azpilicueta’s long cross was scored by Lukaku with an attractive header. Soon after, Zenit missed out on a possible draw when Artem Dzyuba, Zenit’s substitute, missed a great opportunity.

Easy win for Juventus

In the same group, Italian club Juventus easily defeated Malmo. Alex Sandro, Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata scored in Juventus’ victory.

The first half was a sensational one for the Italian giants who set out on a tour of Malmo FF. Sandro gave the team the lead in the 23rd minute of the first half. Dybala scored from the penalty spot in the last minute of the first half to give the team a 2-0 lead. Juventus scored three goals in the first half after Morata added another goal in the injury time of the first half. Juventus failed to add a goal in the second half.

Juventus topped the standings with a goal difference. Chelsea also finished second with the same 3 points. The other two teams are without points after losing.
