KATHMANDU: SEPT. 15 – Spanish giants Barcelona lost 3-0 at home to German champions Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday. In the Group E match at the Camp Nou, Bayern star Robert Lewandowski shone and Barcelona easily lost.

Lewandowski scored twice in the last minute of the second half to give the team a comfortable victory. Thomas Muller scored the opening goal for Munich. In the 35th minute, Muller converted Sane’s pass into a goal to make the 7th Champions League goal possible.

In the first half, Bayern continued to play the same rhythm in the second half. Polish forward Lewandowski doubled the lead in the 56th minute. Lewandowski directed the rebound after Jamal Musiala’s strike hit the post.

Lewandowski scored the third goal in the 85th minute to take the lead in the third goal against Barcelona. Lewandowski scored from close range in the rebound after Serge Gnabry hit the post.

In this group, Dynamo Kyiv and Benfica played a goalless draw. The visiting team Benfica controlled the game most of the time but failed to score. While Barcelona are scoreless in the group, Bayern have 3 points and Benfica and Kyiv have 1-1 draw.
