Appropriation bill passed amid UML protests

KATHMANDU: SEPT. 14  – An appropriation bill has been passed in the House of Representatives amid protests by the CPN-UML.

After Speaker Agni Sapkota gave time to Finance Minister Janardan Sharma to introduce the bill, he had tabled the appropriation bill in Parliament.

Speaker Agni Sapkota had tabled the Appropriation Bill, 2078 BS amidst UML obstruction.

The UML, the main opposition party, had started obstruction after Speaker Sapkota gave time to Minister Sharma. The bill was passed by a majority.
