Identity of Gaindakot accident victims revealed [Update]
NAWALPUR: SEPT. 14 – The identities of three people who lost their lives in a bus-truck collision near 23 Memorial Bridge at Gaindakot Municipality-10 on the East-West Highway have been revealed.
The deceased have been identified as Yogmaya Subedi, 70, of Bansbari Municipality, Bardiya, Krishna Rana, 35, of Jhalari, Kanchanpur and Rangi Tiwari, 40, of Kanchanpur.
They succumbed to their injuries while being brought to Chitwan Medical College for treatment. According to Dilip Kumar Giri, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Nawalpur, 20 of the 24 injured are undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College. He said that the condition of three of the injured was critical.
The truck (Na 6 Kha 7126) coming from east to west hit the bus (Su. Pra.02-001 Kha 1123) heading to the west in the diversion of a single lane near the bridge. Both truck and bus drivers are injured. They are also undergoing treatment, police said.
