All-Party Meeting: Suggestion to the Speaker to bring UML in the talks

KATHMANDU: SEPT. 13 – The all-party meeting convened by the Speaker of the House of Representatives Agni Prasad Sapkota has ended. The meeting discussed bringing the main opposition party, the Communist Party of Nepal (UML), into the talks.

According to Rastriya Janamorcha vice-chairperson Durga Poudel, the leaders had suggested the speaker bring UML to the talks. “We have suggested to the speaker that the main opposition UML be brought into the talks,” Poudel said.

UML had boycotted the meeting. Though the Parliament Secretariat sent a letter to the parliamentary party leader KP Sharma Oli, the UML did not show up saying that their demands would not be addressed.
