GALKOT: SEPT. 13 – Schools, temples, cinema halls and party palaces in Baglung, which were closed after the COVID-19 infection rate has come down, will be reopened following health standards. A meeting of the District COVID Crisis Management Center chaired by Chief District Officer Shiva Kumar Karki on Sunday decided to open the Baglung Kalika Temple and other religious and tourist sites in the district from today.

Dev Prakash Ghimire, a coronavirus resource person at the health office, said that the decision has been taken to allow the previously closed areas including party palace, cinema hall, beauty parlour and gym hall to be reopened after meeting the health standards and in coordination with the educational institution. A small number of participants have been requested to attend the party palace and cinema. Similarly, with the coordination of the education branch of the municipality, the school can be opened with the permission of the district administration. For this, minimum health standards have been made mandatory, said Karki.

The Kalika temple will be reopened after six months as per the direction of the administration by adopting health standards. The temple had been helping to attract religious tourists to the district.
