The government itself is confused about the payment of coronavirus insurance
KATHMANDU: SEPT. 12 – Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has said that the issue of when to pay the coronavirus insurance claim has not been resolved.
He said this while replying to a question raised at a press conference held at the Ministry of Finance on Sunday to give detailed information about the Budget Ordinance Replacement Bill.
“A liability of Rs 11 billion has been created,” Sharma said. We would have given if it is one or two billion. So much money is not small. In that case, we are also looking for answers on how to give and when to give. ‘
There is a provision that the government will be responsible for paying the claim of more than Rs 3 billion for the insurance brought by the government during the epidemic of COVID-19. Based on this arrangement, the government has so far reached Rs 11 billion.
